The Riegu is a handcrafted cushion woven on a loom with organic Xalda wool in its natural brown hue and Extremadura Merino wool dyed with natural dyes. It’s inspired by the curves of the streams as they flow down the meadows and plains of Las Regueras, my home region.
Its texture and pattern evoke the flow of water over the land, a motif that connects the piece to the landscape that gives it its name.
It’s made with Xalda wool in its natural color, a native Asturian fiber that is regaining value thanks to the work of the artisans and farmers who keep it alive.

Each piece is handwoven in my workshop in Asturias, following a slow, mindful, and meaningful process.
